Development Of Perioperative Standards Of Practice

Diane, Kate and Stephanie returned recently from a visit to Malawi where in the capital Lilongwe there were 18 delegates waiting to devise some standard for theatre practice. 

The visit was a great success and 23 standards were created and have been sent to the Ministry and delegates today. The delegates represented the four teaching hospitals and a number of different district hospitals from across the country. They were pleased with their won work and we trust that they will implement the standards and that the Ministry will distribute the standards to the hospitals that were not represented.
